The 2025 Cultural Diversity theme, 'Embrace the Journey, Shape our Future’ highlights the unique and shared cultural journeys that define our diverse communities, encouraging us to honour our own cultural stories and those of others, fostering understanding, belonging and connection.
Our past is the foundation of who we are. By embracing the stories, traditions, and legacies of those before us, we acknowledge the journey that brought us here and ensure our cultural identity thrives in a modern world. Keep culture alive by sharing your connection and celebration of cultural diversity in this state.
We will feature the best 30 - 90 second videos and content from all Victorians in our storytelling series including community leaders sharing their personal and cultural journeys, multicultural connections and commitment to celebrating diversity. When you post from 1 March onwards in the lead up, please use our Cultural Diversity Week campaign hashtags until 23 March:

Prizes
By using our hashtags, you will be encouraging all Victorians to get involved and celebrate Victoria's diverse and multicultural society. You can also share information from the VMC's social media channels or tag us in your posts. Anyone who creates content will be entered into a draw to win prizes.
All participants will be entered into the competition to win exciting prizes, including:
- VIP tickets to the Multicultural Film Festival Premiere
- A featured spot on the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s social media and website
For those who host an event or activity will also have the opportunity to win further prizes, including:
- News story feature on the VMC website and EDM newsletter
- Social media coverage
- VMC Commissioner to speak at one of your events
